Hannah And Savannah-(Yes. It Rhymes.)

Twenty-seven-year-old Savannah White and 26-year-old Hannah Ditch met working as bartenders at Luna South. It was 2023. The pair worked together for only for six months, but they became good friends and later went on to work together behind the bar at Charthouse.

“It’s where the idea was born,” says Savannah. “We didn’t know what we were doing, to be honest, but we felt like we could make it work … and we did!”

The pair filed for their LLC in September, 2024, and officially launched Pop & Pour to the public in January, 2025.

Savannah is a full-time esthetician at Alchemy Aesthetics, where she specializes in acne and pigmentation. Hannah is a full-time real estate agent at EXIT Bayou Realty and also works as the property management director at Bayou Property Advisors.

Surprisingly, Hannah doesn’t drink at all, and Savannah barely does.

Pop and Pour is a dry hire service, which means the ladies don’t sell alcohol, they serve it. “It works well for our clients, because it means we don’t upcharge on alcohol prices, and our clients get to keep, or return, whatever isn’t used.”

They’re a good business duo because they both live by the motto “full send.”

“Whenever we’re contemplating a financial move, we ‘full send’ it and hope for the best,” says Savannah. It’s worked out thus far. The ladies say a great cocktail starts with quality ingredients, thoughtful craftsmanship and genuine hospitality. “We want to create a memorable moment that brings people together, not just serve drinks,” says Hannah.

Their largest event was at Port Wonder, where the Children’s Museum trusted the pair to serve over 400. “We were secretly panicking on the inside and over-bought supplies, but it ended up running so smoothly and being a phenomenal event,” says Savannah, whose husband volunteered his services as barback.

Savannah fits Pop & Pour tasks (like emails, quotes and contracts) in between facials. She and Hannah split the work evenly. “I couldn’t have asked for a better partner in business. We support each other as a team and take on tasks if the other one is too busy,” she says. “Owning a business with someone is like being married to them. You have to have open communication and take on the workload if the other person needs help.”

Hannah echoes the sentiment, “We’re not only co-owners, we’ve also become best friends. I think that’s one of the reasons that our business works so well. We share the same vision, work ethic, and passion for making each event special.”

Clients typically express interest through the Pop & Pour website (popandpourla.com) and then the ladies follow up by scheduling a call in order to better understand the client’s needs. A quote is sent, and then a 50-percent retainer fee secures the date. Later, the pair send their clients a shopping list and design custom menus. The remaining 50-percent is due two weeks before the event. The ladies typically show up at least an hour before event time to set up.

They say they anticipated weddings being their bread and butter, but they’re actually finding other events have been more popular. “Pilates girls love us,” they say.

They’ve worked big events, like the one at Port Wonder, and smaller events like engagement parties, baby showers and open houses. “We are licensed and insured in Louisiana but can easily get our permits to serve in Texas.”

Pricing varies depending on the scope of needs, but a good range to expect is from $6 to $12 per guest.

“We’re a two-woman show, so there have been some learning moments, like figuring out how to work a ratchet strap. But you know what? Boys do it. How hard can it be?” The two hope to eventually secure a vintage horse trailer they can convert into a mobile bar. To learn more or inquire about booking Pop & Pour, visit popandpourla.com.
