AMENDMENTS TO THE BEATITUDES

Blessed are the optimistic; there are too many glasses in life to see them all half empty.

Blessed is the appreciative heart, for it is the square one of right thinking.

Blessed are those without expectations, for they shall rarely be offended by life and loved ones.

Blessed are they who are not afraid of hard work, for the best of us is never found without long labor pressing against the lie that we’re at our limit.

Blessed are they who are betrayed by their fellows, for it lifts their eyes from those who can to He Who Cannot.

Blessed are they who have success late, for too early a flower has been known to ruin the plant, and miss the bees.

Blessed are they who can forgive easily, for they shall not offend the Cross.

Blessed are the honest, for the Dark One finds his way into us through our lies.

Blessed are those who see God in the subtle, for they shall see Him frequently.

Blessed are they who think in small words, for they are less misunderstood.

Blessed are they who had good parents, for they join adulthood knowing the map.

Blessed are the listeners, for they shall never be short of friends.

Blessed are those who know the difference between ambitious and greedy.

Blessed are those who never sell their peace for things.

Blessed are they who are content with their own bodies, not wasting time in wishing for better packaging, but in rejoicing at the wonder of possessing a life.

Blessed are they who laugh, especially those who laugh with others, and dare to only laugh at themselves.

Blessed are they who bear scars and learned from them, for in the wound is the education, that life is hard, but also, that we are tough.

Blessed are they with broken places, for when healed God-right, we think ourselves patched in the armor of angels.

Blessed are they without interesting testimonies, for they had the good sense to hear and heed, and have less mileage.

Blessed are they with interesting testimonies, for they have known far and fallen, and now know return and restoration.
