Wishing You Easy

Wishing You Easy

I wish you a full heart, an easy conscience, and gratefulness.

May you be defended from envy and thoughts of lack; may your eyes see the All You Have.

May you Love at least one thing, and consider that wealth, and for those that Love many, may they tremble with gratefulness.

I hope that you know your Maker. I hope that you have moments where your conversations are not about need, but about being near, good company making good memories.

A pinch of Joy goes a long way. When it’s too much we’re suspicious that we’re using up next year’s allotment, but a little joy, with attention paid to it, can be the Rudolph’s red nose of optimism.

Peace makes good company. Peace doesn’t mind our dirty outers but it stays away until we clean up our inners.

Hope may look like a birthday balloon, but never assume that it is fragile. Hope growls and shows teeth when despair is testing whether our doors are locked. Hope comes from where we’re going. It knows that the Good Guy wins and that we are invited to live Happily Ever After.

May you tell yourself the truth. Our safe tell is with The One Who Already Knows, and here in His gaze, we are seen through the eyes of grace, seen not in the mess of our right-now, but in all the wonder of our could-be, that He would love to help us become, and can only become through truth…

May you Be Still. In the absence of playing God, when we slow ‘n whoa, it is there, in the stillness, that we remind ourselves that all our motion is Folly, if we’re not on His appointed path. Better to Be Still and Waiting, than breaking eggs and clueless about making omelets.

I wish you Ease. Not lazy ease, but clean-with-God ease. Done with wild oats, done with revolt, ready to be an adult, knowing your place, solid, decided, that He is He, and His way is the Best Way, and onward and forward, in the grace of the gift of minutes within lifetimes, may you no longer fight Him, not in defeat, but in being a friend to yourself, reaching That Place where you’ve done it your way to your peril, and now, forward from here, accepting that you-are-only-you and He-is-All-He, and accepting Love, and Grace, and the ease of being under His protection, His best for you, with what is left of you…
